Marburg, Germany: –Specialist German pharmaceutical printer Euker Marburg has pioneered a further industry innovation with its new form Patient Alert Card (PAC) that is folded and adapted to be bundled with information outserts.

The Eukerdruck cards are multi-folded to allow a large amount of information to be fitted into a highly compact form little larger than a standard calling card.

Perforated labels are used to seal the enclosed card and also to bundle it with leaflets or other package outserts.

The PAC also features bar-coding for 100 per cent reliable identity checks and product matching.

Euker Marburg’s leading edge special machinery can carry together and seal the cards automatically and produce complete outsert bundles ready for delivery to customers.

These bundles then require only a single feeding station on packaging line to incorporate PAC and accompanying information into the product carton as a one-piece outsert.

Innovative Solutions

The introduction of the new style PAC comes hard on the heels of Eukerdruck’s introduction of its patented Outsert 2in1 as a unique solution that can deliver two complementary but separate leaflets from a single folded and sealed enclosure.

Like the new PAC, Outsert 2in1 harnessed Euker’s technology to use clever folding and closure by sealing labels so that on opening, two leaflets come out of a single package. The process is also free from perforations that can distort the content.

Euker Marburg managing director Robert Maegerlein commented: “The addition of our new Patient alert Card to Outsert 2in1 emphasizes our ability to use innovative design and advanced production technology to delight our customers and enhance their product offerings.”

“As regulations and consumer expectations evolve, we believe solutions like our new PACs will be in ever greater demand from the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries,” he added.

“We have succeeded in integrating our entire internal workflow with computer control from initial design and PDF-prepress through to final processing, enabling us to liaise closely with customers via online exchange,” said Mr. Maegerlein.
