Grabs, Switzerland: – Parenteral packaging specialist Dividella AG will give an American debut to its award-winning parenteral packaging solutions and its new generation toploader cartoning system NeoTOP x at next month’s PACK EXPO show in Chicago.

The Dividella stand at W-683 West Hall, at McCormick Center Center will demonstrate the NeoTOP machine’s impressive feature set, including its unparalleled ability to make ‘instant’ format changes during production runs.

The Dividella display will also feature the ultra compact syringe carton that has gained AmeriStar and WorldStar awards, along with a wide range of other NeoTOP packaging samples.

    Lower costs

Dividella CEO Stefan Knellwolf says the new NeoTOP system should reinforce Dividella’s leading position the in low-cost sustainable solutions for cartoning parenteral products in the 30 to 50 package-per-minute capacity range.

“These machines Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Cost of Package (TCP) to industry-leading levels,” said Mr. Knellwolf.

“We are confident that when PACK EXPO visitors see NeoTOP x in action, they will realize that the state of the art has just been raised several notches,” he added.

NT x provides an enhanced, flexible and modular platform that can be configured for a wide variety of cardboard packaging and features a host of innovative features including extensive feeding solutions and a unique Wide Format enabling packaging of single units or multi-packs, along with Dividella’s NextGen automation system.

    Award-winning

NeoTOP machinery provides the power enabling the award-winning 10-count flu vaccine prefilled syringe carton that Dividella will also showcase inMoscow. Co-designed with Sanofi Pasteur, the package won the bronze award in the Sustainability section of the WorldStar Medical & Pharmaceutical awards, judged at interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf in May.

The 10-count carton features 100 per cent recyclable paperboard, eliminating pre-made plastics. This has saved client Sanofi Pasteur more than $1m annually. Additionally, halving pack volume has led to corresponding savings in cold-chain shipping and storage costs, while the NeoTOP 804 has quadrupled output to 80 cartons/800 syringes per minute, doubling Overall Equipment Effectiveness to more than 70 per cent.

Also in November, Dividella will be taking its cartoning and parenteral packaging solutions to the Pharmtech trade show in Moscow.
